Behind the Cabin Door May 2024: “Treasure hunts are so much fun! They will stretch your faith huge and you will really see God at work!...”

These last couple of months we focused on preparing ourselves for sharing the Good News and sharing our personal testimony! If you missed it I encourage you to go back and read, partner with God, and put action with sharing them both! I pray you have seen fruit and that the people that God has brought into your life have been impacted with your love and His!

Today I would like introduce you to treasure hunts!!! This is not a pirate, searching for gold and jewels treasure hunt, but a treasure hunt where you are looking for a person! You simply partner with God and ask Him where to go, what person you are looking/ what are they wearing, and what message God has for them for you to share! THIS IS MUCH FUN AND WILL STRETCH YOUR FAITH HUGE!!! You do not have to spend 20 minutes soaking and being perfectly quiet and waiting for God to speak. Soaking is always good but I believe God is ALWAYS speaking to His people and sometimes we just need to quickly catch up and obey! Plan on a day when you are going out, ask God, and write down immediately what comes to your mind! My family has had many treasure hunts together and with groups of other believers and it is so exciting to hear the similarities people have before they go out! "I saw a person with a white shirt and black shoes..." or "I saw a person with a white headband and black shorts..." These treasure hunts are when you will really see God at work! He loves your obedience and loves when you partner with Him and what He wants to do with and inside His people including you Friend!!! Try it today!!!

Here is a quick explanation of the today's artwork up top, this is my son's first treasure hunt in 11/19/11 at three years old!

Benjamin heard "waring."
The picture of the face is a "baby fire."
Benjamin said, "The doctor kills and destroy the baby."

I felt we were to go to Planned Parenthood where abortions are preformed.

As soon as we drove up I saw this young woman walking to the door then quickly turning around and walking back to the car. She did this over and over... When I saw her I felt she was "waring" inside her heart to go inside of the building. I told her how we were praying and how God spoke to my three year old son. I showed her this picture and she started crying. I asked if she was pregnant and thinking about going inside and then she fell into my arms and cried and cried.... I prayed for her, she accepted Jesus into her life and I know she made the right choice!!!

When we left, Benjamin saw a happy baby face!

I already said it but God is always speaking to His people! Let's be a people that quickly says yes and obeys!
