Behind the Cabin Door May 2022 : "We give him our trials, He stays close and refreshes our lives, and then He gives us a clean slate!..."
The past couple of months have been very hard, confusing, and unexpected months. No one could have prepared me for the emotional and physical roller-coaster I would go through. Our sweet Baby Ax came and went, I would visit five emergency rooms in my healing process, then healing and getting back to normal would be fearful and full of questions and concerns... Those months for me and my family were what the Bible refers to as tests and trials. Paul writes to us in 2 Corinthians 11:23-27
"I have worked harder, been put in prison more often, been whipped times without number, and faced death again and again. Five different times the Jewish leaders gave me thirty-nine lashes. Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked. Once I spent a whole night and a day adrift at sea. I have traveled on many long journeys. I have faced danger from rivers and from robbers. I have faced danger from my own people, the Jews, as well as from the Gentiles. I have faced danger in the cities, in the deserts, and on the seas. And I have faced danger from men who claim to be believers but are not. I have worked hard and long, enduring many sleepless nights. I have been hungry and thirsty and have often gone without food. I have shivered in the cold, without enough clothing to keep me warm."
After reading all what this man of God went through for spreading the message of who God I CANNOT complain or feel sorry for myself. My life has never been that bad! We are told later in James 1:2-4
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
Perseverance: persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.
Success: the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.
God's heart for His people is to never leave them in trials or distress. God has showed me how much He desires to bring his people into a place of success! A place of accomplish and strength! A place where His people are transformed, renewed, and even refreshed! A place where we overcome all the bad! God Himself just does this process on when we stay close to Him during the hard times! We give him our trials, He stays close and refreshes our lives, then He gives us a clean slate!
We all have been through hard times and still will walk through hard times, but I want to encourage you that there is ALWAYS more He wants to give us! Say yes and allow Him to show you today!
