Today I want to share a short story which has led me to living out Jesus and going on treasure hunts on a daily basis!
I was probably 11 years old and I went with my friend, her mom, and her close friends to Tennessee to a Hungry Preacher's Confrence. God was moving in a big way during each of the services! During worship and even the message people were crying, laughing, speaking in lanuages not from this world, rolling on the floor, shaking, and dancing! Some couldn’t stop moving while others just stood in silence with tears streaming down their faces! God was moving and touching everyone and I wanted Him too!!!
I kept my eyes closed and hands out and asked Him over and over to fill me up! I told Him whatever He wanted to do with me… DO IT! I stood towards the back of the building along the wall all alone,
“I’m here God. I want you!”, I told Him again.
The service ended and our group came and told me it was time to leave. I felt God a little bit but I was still so hungry for more! As we walked out to the van I sat in the very back still talking to God asking Him to come...
A few minutes later, I felt as if a softball ball was thrown with force and hit me in my stomach!!! I began to speak with words I have never heard myself speak before. The words kept coming and coming, my voice got louder and louder, and then I began to just laught!!! God was right there with me in the backseat driving through the mountains of Tennessee and He was filling me up!!!
As we all stepped into the cabin the Holy Spirit jumped on everyone else! They began to laugh, shout, and speak in tonguges too! This was the best surprise gift!!!
I don't remember much about preparing myself for bed becasue I stayed wrapped up, lost, in the Holy Spirit arms! I went to bed, closed my eyes and my life has never been the same!!!
God wants to fill you up too Friend! God wants to write a story and give you gifts that are just for you! Get close to Him, ask Him to come, and respond back to Him! I promise, you too, will never be the same!
