During Circuit Rider School back in 2012 they sent us on lunch break but encouraged us to be ready to share God’s love to anyone we felt. I walked into KFC and my eyes were immediately fixed on this man I saw sitting at a table. He was probably in his 40’s but his heart was ready to receive Jesus! I walked up to him and told him that Jesus loves him and has a plan for him. In fact, God loves you so much He sent His one and only Son to earth to save us from sin…. Tears began streaming down his face. I asked he would like to invite Jesus to come live inside of his heart. “Yes!” We prayed together, I encouraged him, then he left. This was a 5 minute conversation and today was his day of salvation! I was a little puzzled at first thinking to myself, “Was that it? That was not hard! What was I scared about?” Yes! That’s all it takes! OBEDIENCE! I was fired up and encouraged even more after that! Then I went over to order my food. Again, the opportunity was there right in front of me! I called to all the staff and told them the same thing, this time with more excitement! “JESUS LOVES YOU AND HAS A PLAN AND PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE!….” I said yes to God and He used me! God desires to use you! God desires to use children too!
“We are not called to save anyone. Our job as God’s people is to plant the seed. Others water the seed. God causes the growth. Oh, how sweet it is when you see the fruit of salvation! Just say yes, obey, and watch what happens!” |
