Behind the Cabin Door January 2022 : " There have been times in our lives when hearing God’s voice has become questionable. “Did God really tell me to do that?"… Sadly, it’s been too much a part of my life!..."

There have been times in our lives when hearing God’s voice has become questionable. “Did God really tell me to do that?… Am I sure I did what He told me to do?… Did I miss what He said?…” Sadly, it has been too much a part of my life! God never leaves us when we feel at a loss!  I was so encourage this past Sunday as I shared a lesson with my kids from John 10:27,

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:..."

The truth is when we stay close to Jesus and His heart we learn to recognize His voice. We become confident in our relationship with God. There are many other voices in our natural world but staying close to our Shepherd in the spiritual world leads us right where He wants us to be in safe and fulfilling green pastures!

I encourage you this week, even today, to spend time with Jesus. I encourage you to take some time getting all other voice that have not brought you peace out of your head and into God's hands! Begin to speak your thoughts out loud one by one until you feel your mind is clear. I encourage you to take your time doing this. Time spent with Jesus is never wasted time!
After you have given Him all your thoughts stay quiet for a few minutes and listen. You may hear things right away or it may take some time, just stay quiet and listen. Write down anything and everything He shows you. Lastly, I encourage you to obey! God always has sweet gifts He wants to give us when we come to Him!

I also encourage you to read through John 10. Allow God to show you verses you can declare over yourself in REPLACEMENT of the other thoughts you just gave to Him that were not bringing you peace. Allow Gods words of truth wash over you!

Declaration Starters:

"My Shepherd knows me and calls me by my name! I never miss His voice!"

"My shepherd will always come and find me. I am never alone!"

"My shepherd loves me and gave His life for mine!"

Having a family has always been on my heart since I was little girl. God has blessed my husband and I with five kids and a baby on the way, a family of eight! God has richly blessed us and I rather have my hands full any day of the week than have my hands empty! Proverbs 3:9-10.

God has recently inspired me with having more family fun nights! Nights where we share a short message from God’s Word together, act on the Word together, then pray and declare the Word together! I invite you and ENCOURAGE you to join in with our MAPS!!!
God loves building families and communities closer to His heart!

Message: Read John chapter 10 with your kids. Encourage their thoughts and questions. Jesus gives a clear picture of what a good shepherded, He, is like!

Go to petting zoo! Maybe kids will find sheep!
