Behind the Cabin Door February 2025: "Let us remember to lead our family in the ways of God..."

Hello Friends!

Recently, my family traveled to the Anne of Green Gables Museum in Melbourne Florida to celebrrate my daughter's birthday! The museum house was over 100 years old and was about to be torn down but a group of residence called on their community & raised a million dollars & bought the house! They have plans to raise more money to restore this propery & are so excited to teach schools, host events, & share stories of the past! The atmosphere was inviting & peaceful as three sweet elderly women graciously hosted our family!

As we walked through each room hearing this backstories of how this house was built these verses in 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 kept coming to mind,

"...make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody..."

I was reminded how important it is to learn & to also teach our children at home in everyday life! To be busy working with our hands in everything task God has given us in raising our family. Reading the Bible to them, reading the history of our nation that was built on God's Word, teaching them what is right & what is wrong, & teaching them how to pray & get close to God's heart! Places have changed, times have changed, & things that once was has been forgotten but we still have God in our lives! He will never change & He is always guiding us! I encourage you to not forget that truth & to teach it to your family!
