I may be younger in age but I can't get enough of hymns! Hymns, especially country or bluegrass hymns are my favorite songs to listen to. Hymns are stories and testimonies of the love and goodness of God taken from years and years ago but then shared with us added with a soft melody. Their words, their stories, and their faith are still relevant and encouraging to us today even in 2022. They all follow the same pattern...1 God is with us, 2 God is with us when times are hard, 3 God is still with us!
Tis So Sweet to trust in Jesus is a popular hymn that came to my mind recently during a very difficult season. Romans 8:28 is a Bible verse that most of us have read but may have read too quickly without receiving God's gift and promise that, "All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." We may not SEE the good in the middle of our pain and it may be really hard to FEEL anything or any type of good. But I want to encourage you that God still has a plan! He knows what He is doing and He knows where He wants to take you. I pray for anyone who is living in a hard season right now, first, that this story from this dear woman Louisa Stead will minister to your heart and second, that you would be encouraged to LIVE with a simple yes in your heart to trust God. Say yes to God, obey, and allow Him to lead you to good, even great, places!1`
