Behind the Cabin Door February 2023: " At times there may be stubborn roots in the new land God has given you, Keep working! He is with you!"
We are still plowing land, yes with our tractor too, and still very excited about what God is doing in our lives! I have noticed this past month that there are sometimes stubborn patches of land that takes extra effort to plow over. Sometimes roots grow super deep and when you start to pull them out it begins to wear you out. Or, there may be patches of land you think is perfectly clear and when you begin to walk over it you begin to find little pieces of unknown, dirty and dingy substances. This is still an exciting time to work the land God has given you and great things are happening little by little even when you can't see the final picture. It is God who will always refresh you as you continue to work!
God has given me the blueprints for my family as we continue building physically and spiritually. It's the Word of God, the Bible! We have started over from the beginning of Genesis and will walk, listen, and learn together with Jesus! My children have expressed their desire to hear true stories of people God has also used to plow land for the Kingdom of Heaven! My answer is always yes to what He wants! I encourage you friend to join in on this journey of reading the Word together with your family too! We need to be able to stand firm now more than ever in our existence where the world has totally flipped and turned around in an opposite position of the face of God. JESUS IS COMING BACK SOON! Do not be afraid or concerned but I encourage you to stand strong, unmovable on the Word of God!
* God just recently shared this with me as I was reading Hebrews 12 about discipline. Times when you feel those roots come up in your Christian walk with God and there seems to be roots or hardships after hardships after hardships... you begin to ask yourself, "Is this God discipling me or is this the enemy trying to get me down?"
Here is what God spoke to my heart:
